Senior Research and Evaluation Scientist
Dr. Andrew Camilleri has a wealth of experience working with communities, non-profits, government organizations, and universities on programs and projects that promote well-being and equity. He possesses a deep expertise in impact and process evaluation, GIS spatial analyses, and data visualization, and has substantial experience in utilizing mixed-methods approaches for diverse research endeavors. Dr. Camilleri is skilled in applying advanced statistical techniques, including linear and logistic regressions and quasi-experimental analyses like differences-in-differences. His qualitative expertise encompasses thematic analysis, grounded theory, and case study methods.
Throughout his career, Dr. Camilleri has worked on a variety of projects, including evaluating a national rent subsidy scheme for the Malta Housing Authority, creating mapping products for the Florida Botanical Garden, as well as carry out an impact evaluation for the Illinois Council for Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Camilleri has also published in peer-reviewed journals on how sense of home and community impact migrants resilience throughout acculturation trajectories.
Dr. Camilleri’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago, where his research focused on community dynamics and systemic interventions. He also holds graduate degrees in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University and in Law from the University of Malta. His commitment to advancing equity through applied research and his ability to navigate complex data landscapes have established him as a sought-after expert in the fields of evaluation, data analysis, and community-focused research.
